I've been with Han Feng since I opened the restaurant. When I started, I called four distributors. Three of them sent me a generic catalog and a sales script. Han Feng sent a person who walked the walk-in with me, asked what I cooked, and built a starting order around my actual menu — not a template.

Four years later that same rep still picks up when I call. He knows my mom — she co-owns the place with me and signs for receiving — and he speaks Vietnamese with her when there is a question on a delivery. When we sit down to plan the next month, he and I do that in English. That kind of personal relationship is rare in this business.

The product has been the other reason. Their fish sauce, their rice noodles, their proteins — I can taste the difference, my customers can taste the difference, and I haven't had a quality complaint about anything Han Feng delivered in over a year.
